BASEBALL DIVISIONS

• Players who are League Age 5-7 as determined for purposes of Little League Baseball (i.e., actual age on August 31 of the current year) are eligible to participate on a Tee Ball team.

• Players who are league age 7-8 that have participated for one regular season in the Tee Ball Division are eligible to be selected to a "AA" Minor League Division (coach pitch or machine pitch) team. Typically for players that need to enhance their skills in hitting, catching and throwing.

• Players who are league age 9-11 are eligible to be selected to a "AAA" Minor League Division team (player pitch, coach pitch, or machine pitch) for the regular season. Typically for players that have started to develop consistency in throwing, hitting and catching.

• Players who are league age 9-12 are eligible to be selected to a Little League (“Major”) Division team for the regular season. For players with consistent skills in throwing, catching and hitting. Registration and participation in evaluations (i.e., skills assessment) for first time, non-returning players is required for consideration for participating in Majors baseball and team placement. Should your child not be placed on a Majors team, please know that your child will be placed and play in Minors for the season. Please note that evaluations will be held on Saturday, 4/6/24 at the PITCH at 2 - 3:30 pm. Please register for evaluations at no cost.

• All-Stars Baseball will be available to register for at a later date. All-Stars Baseball is a great experience for kids that love baseball and are committed to continuous growth and development. All-Stars Baseball is next level competition above and beyond our local league. Five Town Little League will look to host two All-Star Baseball teams with a roster size for each of approximately 12 players: 1) ages 8-10 and 2) ages 11-12. To be eligible for All-Stars Baseball, players must play in at least 8 baseball games during the regular season. All-Stars Baseball is a commitment and attendance at practices and games are expected. Please know that families will likely need to travel for games. Dates for All-Stars Baseball dates are not known at this time; however, if you child is interested and looking to play you should anticipate playing games in late-June and July, with practices likely starting in June. If (and hopefully) if our Five Town teams when then you can playing throughout the summer. More communication will provided as more information is provided by our District Administrators.
